The Lokananta Museum is the first and only state-owned music company (Perum Printing Negara Republik Indonesia) which has a large collection of legendary music in the format of vinyl records and tape cassettes.
The Lokananta Museum was first established on October 29, 1956, and gave birth to many legendary musicians such as Gesang, Waldjinah, Titiek Puspa, Bing Slamet, to Anggun C. Sasmi. The Lokananta Museum is located at Jl. Ahmad Yani no. 379, Kerten, Laweyan, Solo.
Not a few Solo residents think that this legendary studio has closed and changed functions. Even so, the Lokananta Museum also has a recording studio that can still be used today and also still maintains analog production for its music, namely by producing music in tape cassette format.
One of the interesting vinyl records is the original recording of President Soekarno’s voice reading the text of the proclamation. How did you get attracted to the Lokananta Museum?
