Solo Keroncong Festival 2019

Solo again held an event that was opened to the public, the 10th Solo Keroncong Festival (SKF). The event was held for two days, starting from Friday to Saturday, 26-27 July 2019 on the Solo City Hall Page. Also present was the keroncong maestro famous for his song “Walang Kekek”, Waljinah.

The 10th SKF presents a keroncong orchestra from outside the city of Solo as an effort to introduce keroncong music throughout the archipelago. A total of 10 keroncong orchestra groups filled the event which was held two days. On the first day, the performance was filled with keroncong orchestra from Tanjung Enim South Sumatra, Students of the Indonesian Education University (UPI) Bandung, Tjong Young Gita Citra Alam (TYGCA) Demak, Keroncong Swastika Orchestra from Solo, and Bintang Surakarta. On the second day Cibubur Youth Pillar School performed, Anjuk Ladang, De Poespo Jakarta, NusWa Solo, and BPD Central Java Semarang. Waldjinah will be performing at the Solo Keroncong Festival (SKF) on the second day of July 27 which will duet with SKF guest stars Dorce Gamalama

Surakarta Mayor FX. Hadi Rudyatmo hopes that the younger generation will love this keroncong music because it is one of the arts and cultures of the Indonesian nation and must be preserved together.
