Enchantment of Gold at 12 Years of Solo Batik Carnival
The SBC 2019 Grand Carnival was held on Saturday (7/27/2019). The annual event organized by the Surakarta City Government presents a carnival of batik costumes as a manifestation of the city of Solo batik.
The 12th SBC event has the theme “Suvarnabhumi the Golden of ASEAN.” Suvarnabhumi itself means the golden state. The hope, SBC can give birth to a charm like gold that attracts many people to visit Southeast Asia.
As the theme, this carnival doesn’t only show local participants. SBC collaborates with ASEAN to bring in delegates from abroad. There are 11 countries that display their tourism brand.
Among the eleven countries include Indonesia (Wonderful Indonesia), Philippines (Kay Ganda Philippines), Malaysia (Truly Asia), and Thailand (Amazing Thailand), Singapore (Uniquely Singapore), Myanmar (Be Anchented, Myanmar), Brunei Darussalam (The Green Heart of Brunei), and Laos (Simply Beautiful Laos). Then there were also Cambodia (Kingdom of Wonder Cambodia), Vietnam (Timeless Charm, Vietnam), and Timor Leste (Great Adventure Timor Leste).
