Solo Jenang Festival: The Nusantara Taste Heritage

(Friday/02/17/2023) The 2023 Jenang Festival took place in the Ngarsopuro area and at Pamedan Pura Mangkunegaran, the Surakarta City Government and the Indonesian Jenang Foundation were collaborating to hold a Solo Jenang Festival tourism event with the theme “Nusantara Taste Heritage”.

As a thanksgiving for the 278th Anniversary of Surakarta City, at the opening of the event the Deputy Mayor of Surakarta had a message that “Jenang is a heritage in food endurance throughout Indonesia, especially in Solo City, jenang has a certain meaning as a special symbol of safety and prosperity” he said.

Approximately 15 thousand a bowl of jenang were distributed to the public for free, the enthusiasm of the people was high in participating in this event, and strengthening culinary delights with the Taste of Indonesian Heritage.
