Solo Fashion Go International in Tong Tong Fair

Joko Budi Santoso well-known as Joko SSP is a famous fashion designer in Solo city, and for repeatedly time he was present to enliven the Tong Tong Fair or Tong Tong festival (formerly known as the Big Night Market). At the 2022 festival, Joko SSP held 3 shows showing the diversity of Nusantara fabrics combined with kebaya.

For those who are curious what is Tong Tong Fair?

Tong Tong Fair is a big festival in world for an European-Indonesian cultural annual event. The previous name  was the Big Night Market become Tong Tong Fair in 2009. The festival held regularly since 1959 in Den Haag, Netherlands. Since 1993 Tong Tong Fair success attracts more than 100,000 visitors annually, which makes the Tong Tong Fair one of the oldest and fourth largest festivals in the Netherlands.

First fashion show section, Joko SSP colaborated with Batik Riana Kesuma Solo showed Batik Solo ready to wear clothes. The second fashion show in September 7th, 2022 was still collaborated with Batik Riana Kesuma Solo with theme “Kebaya goes to UNESCO”. Singer from Solo city who stay in Netherlands, Asty Dewi was also enliven the second fashion show section. The third fashion show in September 8th, 2022 showed Nusantara fabrics combined with kebaya collection by Joko SSP.
