2 Events from Solo City Selected in KEN 2023

Kharisma Event Nusantara or KEN 2023 is a collection of major and quality events from 34 provinces in Indonesia which become the strategic collaboration works of Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Economic Creative (abbr. Kemenparekraf, in Indonesia) with local government, trough organizing the major and quality events. KEN 2023 is the third event that been held since 2021, to help, to promote, and to empower the tourism and creative economic sectors in different region in Indonesia post pandemic. The implementation of KEN is expected to have positive impacts in economic, social and environment with sustainable principles that are appropriate (on benefits), accurate (on target) and punctual (on time).

In KEN 2023, from 291 events which was submitted by the tourism department from all over region in Indonesia only 110 events are to be included in the KEN 2023 List.  And 2 events from Solo City managed to be selected in the KEN list; Solo Menari and Solo Keroncong Festival.

Solo Menari (translated as Solo Dancing) is annual event to commemorate the world dance day at 29^th April every year. Similarly, Solo Keroncong Festival also annual event to introduce, to guard and to empower one of traditional folk music unique in Solo.
