The Surakarta City Government organized a Ramayana ballet to entertain travelers who were commemorating Eid al-Fitr in Solo. With the story of Sinta Obong, the performance which was packaged in the event entitled “Bakdan Neng Sala” strengthen the status of solo city as the cultural city.

Thousand of enthusiastic people who want to watch the annual event held by the Surakarta City Government. With the open stage concept in the Benteng Vastenburg which is the Netherlands heritage and supported by 150 artists, it is able to lift the atmosphere of this colossal dance show.

The concept of opera which focuses on contemporary dance, not abandon the existing traditions.
With a mixture of western orchestral music and gamelan, the opera-like performance can be felt directly by the audience who packed the Dutch heritage fortress at the opening of the event at Friday night (7/6/2019) which officially started by the Mayor of Surakarta FX. Hadi Rudyatmo.
