INDACT 2025: Strengthening Inclusive Spaces Through Art and Culture

Solo, November 27 2025 – The commitment to strengthening inclusive spaces within the world of arts and culture was reaffirmed through the Press Conference launching the Indonesian Disability Art and Culture (INDACT) 2025, held at Kawan Tuli Coffee & Space on Wednesday (19/11). The event brought together a warm and collaborative atmosphere among artists, communities, government representatives, and the media.

Organized by the Indonesian Dance Artists Association, the Special Families Forum of Indonesia, PT. Cindiprasih Indah Karya, and Mataya Arts and Heritage, INDACT 2025 serves as an expressive platform for persons with disabilities through art, culture, and cross-community creativity. This initiative stands as concrete proof that art can serve as a unifying bridge as well as a medium to strengthen inclusivity.

INDACT 2025 is made possible through strong collaboration with the Surakarta City Government, the National Commission on Disabilities, the Surakarta Regional Disability Committee, and support from the Ministry of Creative Economy/Bekraf and the Ministry of Culture. In addition, various sponsors, academics, arts communities, and disability organizations have contributed to the success of this event.

During the press conference, which took place from 13.00 to 14.00 WIB, the committee presented the overarching vision of INDACT 2025, covering the series of activities, forms of collaboration, and the crucial role of arts and culture as a space that embraces all members of society. The organizers emphasized that this event is not only a celebration of artistic creation but also a collective movement to expand access for persons with disabilities.

INDACT 2025 is expected to become a momentum for widening spaces of encounter, raising awareness, and spreading the values of inclusion through a series of performances, workshops, and educational programs designed to be accessible to all.
