Miss Batik Indonesia 2025 Lights Up Solo with “The Wonder of Indonesia Batik”

Surakarta, November 3, 2025 – The Grand Final & Award Night of Miss Batik Indonesia 2025 was successfully held at the Ballroom of The Sunan Hotel Solo on Sunday, October 19, 2025. A total of 20 finalists graced the stage, showcasing the beauty of Indonesian batik motifs under the theme “The Wonder of Indonesia Batik.”

The event opened with a speech by the Deputy Minister of Culture, Giring Ganesha, who emphasized the importance of young generations taking the lead in preserving Indonesia’s batik heritage.

“Batik is not merely an outfit or a legacy from the past, but a form of beauty rich with profound philosophy. It is a living symbol that reflects the harmony of our nation’s diversity,” he stated.

After a series of rigorous selection and judging processes, the main winners of Miss Batik Indonesia 2025 were announced as follows:

• Miss Batik Indonesia 2025 (Champion): Ignatia Viely Tahuputri – Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT)
• 1st Runner-Up: Theresia Dinda Satriyatno – Central Java
• 2nd Runner-Up: Nauva Felya – Central Java

In addition to the top three titles, several special awards were also presented to outstanding finalists in various categories:

• Miss Intelligence: Rani Movitanensi (Central Java)
• Miss Natural Beauty: Inong Siti Nurjanah (DKI Jakarta)
• Miss Talented: Kayla Amanda Prasanti (DI Yogyakarta)
• Miss Cultured: Velyn Auralianti Purbowo (Bengkulu)
• Miss Creative: Putri Yolanda (DKI Jakarta)

With the successful completion of Miss Batik Indonesia 2025 in Solo, it is hoped that more young women will be inspired to participate in preserving batik by wearing it proudly and bringing innovative ideas to ensure that batik remains alive, relevant, and celebrated in modern times.

As Miss Batik Indonesia 2025, Ignatia Viely Tahuputri carries the noble mission of becoming a Cultural Ambassador who inspires the younger generation to love and take pride in wearing batik. She is also expected to promote the diversity of Indonesian batik on national and global stages while educating the public about the deep philosophy and values embedded in each batik motif.
