The Gladag Lamp Post Monument, also known as the Pemandengan Monument, is a monument built outside the Keraton Kasunanan Surakarta area, about 500 meters north of the Keraton. It stands 8 meters tall. This monument serves as an axis and holds cosmological significance based on the spatial concept of the Islamic Mataram Keraton. Similar to the Keraton Kasultanan Yogyakarta, which has the Golong Gilig Monument to the north and Panggung Krapyak to the south, the function of this monument is to assist the king in meditation within the Sitihinggil.
