Kusuma Bhakti Heroes Cemetery is a public open space that emerged from the historical development concept of Solo City. In addition to reflecting the community’s appreciation for the services of national heroes, it offers a recreational, educational, and contemplative function while maintaining cultural and environmental harmony. The design and master plan remain aligned with the core values of Solo City's urban layout.

The land used for the construction of the cemetery was donated by R. Ngt. T. Prawirodirjo (Prodjotoeronggo). The site was last renovated in 2000, with an expansion of the ceremonial area. In 2010, further renovations were made, including the addition of gardens and a repainting of the site.
