The '45 Banjarsari Monument was built with a floor area of 15 x 15 meters and a height of approximately 17 meters. The design of the monument resembles the roof structure of a traditional Joglo Papak building. At its center is a Garuda Pancasila emblem, measuring 2 meters wide and weighing 225 kilograms, made of bronze. This emblem was a gift from Mr. Soetami.
At the base of the monument are five statues, each one and a half times the size of an average human, representing the spirit of the people’s struggle in Solo. These statues are divided into two groups. The first group, facing south, consists of three figures: a soldier, a young freedom fighter, and a woman carrying a basket and medicine supplies. The second group, facing north, features two figures: a religious leader (ulama), and two fighters—one holding a keris (traditional dagger) and another, an ordinary citizen armed with a sharpened bamboo spear (bambu runcing).
In addition to the statues, the base of the monument is encircled by a relief that depicts a series of significant events highlighting the struggles of the people of Solo—from the era of Independence through the New Order period.
