Pasar Gede Bridge was built in 1928. This bridge is located in front of Pasar Ghede Harjonagoro. It was designed by the Dutch architect Thomas Karsten and constructed during the reign of Pakubuwono X, following the construction of Pasar Gedhe Harjonagoro. The building is one of the manifestations reflecting efforts to adapt to local conditions. The structural elements are oriented in Western architectural style. Currently, the building still functions as a bridge connecting the center of government and the commercial center in Surakarta.
