Jembatan Arifin Surakarta - Ditambahkan oleh Minso

Jembatan Arifin Surakarta

This bridge was built to commemorate the death of a young man named “Arifin” during the attack on the Japanese Kempeitai headquarters by revolutionary youth and other revolutionary elements in Solo during the revolution. The revolutionary youth, who were based at Hotel Yuliana (now the headquarters of CPM Kota Surakarta), aimed to seize weapons from the Japanese Imperial Army forces, who had already been defeated by the Allies and were stationed at the Kempeitai headquarters. Although the attack and seizure of weapons from the Japanese forces by the revolutionary youth was successful, one young man named “Arifin” was killed. Arifin’s body was initially buried in Giriwoyo but was later moved to the Kusuma Bhakti Heroes Cemetery Park in Jurug, Surakarta.
