The Gading Gate is located south of the southern square (Alun-alun Kidul) of the Kasunanan Surakarta Palace. This gate serves as an entrance to the Kasunanan Surakarta Palace. The Gading Gate was built during the reign of Sri Susuhunan Pakubuwono X and was officially opened in 1938. The gate has a curved shape and features the symbol of the Surakarta Palace at its highest point.
