The Keraton Gate (Batangan) is located south of the Solo Wholesale Center. This gate was originally named Kori Gladhag Kulon, but it is also called the Batangan Gate because it serves as a connection between the Kasunanan Surakarta Palace and the Batangan village. This gate is related to two other gates located at the northern square (Alun-alun Utara), namely the Gladag Gate and the Klewer Gate, which serve as the main entrances to the Kasunanan Surakarta Palace area, with the Klewer Gate serving as the entrance from the west.
