Brayat Minulya Hospital was built on December 8, 1949, under the name of the Medical Center and Maternity House, with a capacity of 6 bedrooms. Located in Kebalen No.2, Solo, this hospital is managed by the BKK sisterhood. On February 22, 1989, the hospital was officially handed over to the new manager, the Society of Saint Francis Sisters (OSF), Semarang, for the development of more effective services. In March 1952, Brayat Minulya Hospital was moved to Jl. Tagore 51-52 (now Jl. Setiabudi no. 106) due to the need for space. The 7th president of Indonesia, Ir. Joko Widodo was born in this hospital on June 21, 1961.

At that time, Jl. Setiabudi already has a convent/sisterhood belonging to the BKK from the Order of San Francis, which is more engaged in orphanages, education, health, and nursing homes. In its development, the monastery was built into a polyclinic. With the increasing number of patients, in 1956, services were expanded to maternity wards, laboratories, and kitchens. In 1966, the addition of wards for the treatment of pediatric patients was carried out. In 1983, Brayat Minulya Maternity Home changed into a public hospital by expanding the building for new functions.

On the west wing of the hospital, there is a two-story building with a distinctive architectural style. This building used to be a pediatric patient ward. In general, this west wing is still relatively well-maintained, with building components such as doors, windows, and ties still original. Development is only found on the south side in the form of changes in indoor appearance.
