The stadium was inaugurated on February 21, 1998, by President Soeharto. It has international standard facilities and is one of the main sports destinations. It is located in the middle of the city, on Adi Sucipto St No. 1, Manahan, Banjarsari.
The parking area can accommodate 2,300 motorbikes and 300 cars. The stadium also has various fields such as tennis, baseball, motorbike circuit, bicycle circuit, billiard room, and others. Manahan Stadium also features a park with fitness and jogging facilities that are free for the public.
