The death of Kumbakarna, Ravana’s younger brother, marked a decisive defeat for the Alengka army. They were pessimistic about victory because the great strength that had been touted as their ultimate weapon apparently slipped from their plan. However, it was different for Indrajit, who was both a son and the heir to the Alengka kingdom. With only a small remaining force, he stepped forward to become a commander.

Unfortunately, his strength was not a match for Rama and his army. In the hands of his uncle, Wibisana, he met his demise and transformed into a black cloud. Anguish, despair, stuttering, failure, all surrounded Rahwana’s life as he silently witnessed the defeat unfolding before his eyes.
