Dalem Suryohamijayan was one of the houses once inhabited by BKPH Surya Amijaya. He was the 20th son of Paku Buwana X. During his lifetime, he served as the Pangarsa Muda (Vice Chairman) of the Narpawandawa Association, which at that time was chaired by BKPH Kusuma Yuda. Therefore, this house was often used as a venue for regular meetings by the Pangreh Narpawandawa. This association served as a forum for aspirations and fostering friendship among the employees and government officials of the Kasunanan Surakarta.
