Bekas Kantor Veteran (Omah Lowo)

This building was initially used as a residence for Dutch nobles or officials. In 1945, it was inhabited by the family of Djian Ho. Located on Jalan Slamet Riyadi, the house features typical Colonial architectural design for residential buildings of that era.

After Indonesia gained independence, the property was handed over to the Indonesian government and later used as the Veterans' Building. A major restoration was carried out between 1983 and 1985, although the original architectural form of the building was preserved.

The building is also known locally as "Gedung Lowo" or "Bat House", due to the long period of disuse during which it became a habitat for bats—hence the nickname “Omah Lowo” in Javanese.

Today, the building has been repurposed into a gallery and museum managed by PT. Batik Keris, giving it a new cultural and artistic function while retaining its historical charm.
