SERABI NOTOSUMAN

A visit to Solo is incomplete if you don't taste Serabi Notosuman. For those who are not familiar, this serabi is often referred to as Serabi Solo. The name “Notosuman” itself comes from Notosuman Street, which has now changed its name to Mohammad Yamin Street.

Serabi Notosuman is made from rice flour, pandan, vanilla, sugar, coconut milk, and salt. The cooking process uses a small clay pan that is grilled over charcoal. Each region has its own characteristics in serving serabi. Some have a dry texture, while others are served wet with gravy. In addition, some serabi variants are equipped with various toppings that add flavor and scent.
