Bondan dance from Surakarta city. This traditional includes classic dance since Majapahit kingdom era. Long time ago, Bondan Dance should be show by a team of girls in the village in Mataram kingdom as a symbol to show themselves as future mother generation.

This show has philosophy describe love of mom who take care and teach her kid unconditionally in joy and rough time until dead. This Bondan dance is done by woman carry a baby doll while bring wide open umbrella and bring kendhi (A jug is a place to store water in the shape of a teapot made of clay) it must be careful to dance it. There are three various of movement with different meanings, they are Bondan Cindogo, Bondan Mardisiwi and Bondan Pegunungan.
