Solo Jebres Station was constructed in 1884 by the Kasunanan Surakarta Palace, in cooperation with the Dutch East Indies railway company Staats Spoorwegen (SS). It has been officially designated as a Cultural Heritage Railway Station Building.
Today, Jebres Station functions as one of the main stations in Solo, serving economy-class trains to Jakarta and Surabaya, as well as handling freight and cargo services to various cities. It also serves as a tourist destination station, given its historical significance and architectural beauty.
The station's architecture reflects the Indische Empire style, with a richly ornamented façade influenced by Neoclassical design. The building is symmetrical, with its main entrance emphasized by a raised roof structure and a distinct decorative treatment.
The central section features a triangular pediment, formed by gable roofs adorned with classic cornices, flanked by two arched windows (lunettes) above and two arched doors below. The symmetrical arrangement of these elements creates a stately and elegant impression. The doors are detailed with Art Nouveau-style jalousies, while the walls are accentuated with decorative moldings. A steel canopy marks the main entrance of the station.
